SCENIC WAY : KITCHEN REVEAL

Welcome to the first blog post on our list of reveals for this beautiful home! Scenic Way was a labor of love from both our design and construction teams, as well as our clients. This traditional lover's dream is full of paneling, classic finishes, and family oriented furnishings. Now, let's start with the details on the kitchen!

It's not often that we get clients who move into homes the buy to remodel, but in this case, the clients lived in the home and really got a feel for how they enjoyed (and didn't enjoy) living in the home. They decided that they ultimately liked the original layout for functionality in the kitchen. Layout is always were we start in our remodel projects and once we have this down, we get on to making it pretty!

We had quite the dilemma about how we could keep the range in the island and not have to have a vent hood block the large windows. The second concern was that our team and our clients really wanted island pendants. Thankfully, Wolf offers this ceiling vent hood that offers function without the imposition on the space!

For metal finishes in this space we mixed brass and polished nickel.

For the appliances in this kitchen, our clients opted for all Subzero Wolf Cove products. There are quite a few in this space and we went with cabinetry overlay for most of them. The cabinetry finishes are Bright White Shaker on the Perimeter and custom French Oak Shaker on the island. This client was specific about wanting Quartz countertops, so thats what we did. We ended up getting the authentic and natural feel from the Calacatta Marble Beveled Subway tile on the splash.
